Fishermen & Ladies,
Well summer is here. Or is it? It took over 21 pounds to win again at HOT EUFAULA. From reports from most fishermen fish were still caught in less than three foot of water. It has been along time since I remember Eufaula giving up stringers of bass like this. Lets hope it continues.
The team of Chris Rutland and Russell Lane took top honors with 21.589 lb. Mike Cavender and Jeff Cook were second with 19.58 lb. Jay Grogan and Cole Phillips were third with 17.72 lb. Tyree Raptis and Michael Smith were 4th with 17.19 lb , Jack Tibbs and Greg Tucker 5th with 17.16 lb, and Clayton Sharpe and Jonathan Sullivan were 6th with 16.82 lb.
Our next tournament will be at West Point (Highland Marina) on May 30th. Remember this weigh-in will be at 4PM! We are looking for a great crowd there. Spread the word and let everyone know what a good time we have!!!!!
We will begin giving out ballots for the 2009 Valley Sportsman Classic at the West Point tournament. The two choices will be West Point and Eufaula. Months will be July and October. Those of you that have fished with us before know how we do the Classic.
Everyone that has fished or paid for 5 or more tournaments is qualified for the classic. The TOP TEN fish free with all others who have qualified fishing for $100. All money will go directly into the Classic Pot with 100%+ pay back. So those of you that have or will qualify for the Classic be thinking where and when you would like the Classic to be held.
Our last regular tournament for the 2009 regular season will be on June 27th on Eufaula. This Weigh-In will be at 4PM Eastern Time also.
